Omotunde, a young civil engineer, married to Raymond and OAP has just given birth. Coloured by different cultural backgrounds (the wife being Yoruba and the husband Ibo), drama ensues when Raymond’s mother, Chimanda, insists on performing Umogwo, a cultural Igbo practice which dictates that the mother of one of the couples must come in to live with the couple for a period of time in order to relieve the nursing mother of the pressures of convalescing and baby care.
Omotunde’s mother, Candance, a narcissistic, self-absorbed woman who craves the selfishness of always being at the fore of attention feels she also has every right as Chimanda to also be there for her daughter and grand daughter and receive as much praise as Chimanda.
Both mothers-in-law move in with the couple, to the reluctance of their children, but instead of relieving their children of burden, they complicate their lives even further with comical effects.
