Dead Tide

Synopsis

Sade, a very popular social media influencer born with a speech defect is out with her best friend come manager Chioma, taking pictures at a beach resort when they mistakenly record a murder on their phone committed by the president’s son Dare. Unfortunately for them he spots them from afar leading to a chase. The girls try to outsmart these heavily armed security guards and this leads them into a beach community, home to an Ex-Militant “Itoro” who runs a local bar. Sade and Chioma are chased by Dare and his security detail and they end up hiding in Itoro’s bar, a one-storey building built with wood. Itoro on seeing her, has a soft spot for her and is determined to help her. Chioma is eventually shot by one of the guards and with nowhere to run and all pleas falling on deaf ears, Sade, Itoro and a few of the bar staff must find a way to survive the onslaught as Dare deploys all sorts of tricks and tactics to draw them out in order to kill them. Dare has only one objective, “No Witnesses and No Evidence”, especially since his dad is preparing to run for another tenure as president, while Sade and Itoro have one objective, “Survive at all cost and find a way to get this evidence to the right authorities and seek justice”.
