Synopsis

In the vibrant town of Nipa Hia Mmoa, Kwadae, a struggling boutique owner, faces an uphill battle against the tides of misfortune. His once-thriving shop has become a mere shadow of its former self, plagued by financial difficulties and an insatiable loan shark named Atsu, who looms over him like a storm cloud. Following a devastating burglary that strips him of his remaining inventory and savings, Kwadae finds himself teetering on the edge of despair, drowning in mounting debts and feeling utterly defeated.

    The Funeral of Kwadae is one of those films that stays with you long after the credits roll. Powerful storytelling, strong performances, and a deeply emotional experience. This is Ghanaian cinema at its best. Beautifully shot from the first frame to rhe last. Deeply moving. Truly unforgettable. You can feel the quality and intention in every scene. A must-watch this Christmas at Silverbird.
