The Storm

Synopsis

After gaining fame from almost single handedly stopping one of the biggest bank robberies in recent history, DETECTIVE DANSO earns a promotion. His promotion is to head up a special crime unit. With no time to celebrate, he is soon thrust into his first case when the mutilated body of a teenage boy is found in a swimming pool. The body seems to be related to a recent spate of missing children. MILLY FORSON, a well known social advocate for women and children, is outraged by recent events and starts to pressure the police. Danso is trying his best but the kidnappings escalate. With Milly leading the way, the public start to turn against the police and the government. Things turn for the worse when one of the kidnapped girls is found murdered. Unfortunately for Milly, the girl turns out to be her niece. This becomes a defining moment for Milly and she vows to go on an all out war to end crime. Milly directs all her resources to crusade on the media, to place the police and government under pressure. With more and more support from the public, Milly becomes a serious contender for the presidency and this is a huge concern for the crime underworld and the corrupt officials. She is about to blow open their whole operation. They order her assassination. Word of Milly Forson’s planned assassination gets to Detective Danso but too late, his attempt to intercept the attack fails. Milly Forson is assassinated by her own security team, that have been blackmailed and forced into submission. Detective Danso is implicated in her assassination.
